Mistakes

Question is not living a life of no mistakes, but rather to live a life learning from the mistakes of others and self along the way.

Life on earth is only but a a preparation for eternity. It is temporal but the lessons learned are forever.

Father I pray that I will man up to acknowledge and process this.
I can only seek forgiveness for what I should not have done.
You've made me stronger than this, please see me through this season.

Race To The Dawn 2011

It was tiring.
It was crazy.
It was yet a time where God's people can see His providence and sow the seeds of His Kingdom.

This year was definitely another scale of RTTD and sure, the committee has really really given
much of themselves to this event.

But I really pray and hope that we don't forget the reason why we do this and that.
Surely God You are able to use anything to glorify You, and I pray that RTTD will be one of it.

Having heard certain stuff just throws me off once again.
Once in a while, my ears would pick up news and rantings about things in church.
By once again, I'm reminded that God has only 1 church in His eyes in this world.
The Church of our Lord Jesus Christ

God didn't define His church by the songs they sing or whether they spoke tongues or not.
Sure, some people will come along and try to reason (with me) the definition of the Church.
But come on, you and me ain't God. So let's not try to play God's role here.

Ultimately what I'm driving at, is the very fact that God has made it clear.
Love God and love men.
I believe any Christian would be set apart from the people around them by this commandment.
Not in that it is a commandment, but the most beautiful thing that can happen.

Yes, I pray Lord that You open my eyes continually to see Your Will, to know Your Will.
There is nothing greater than to be in love with You Lord.
Father, I thank You that it ain't about me or my merits.
It's all about You God, all about You.

Jesus Accepted You; Now You Accept Others

So reach out and welcome one another to God's glory. Jesus did it; now you do it! Romans 15:7 (MSG)

God wants you to accept others in the same way that Jesus accepted you.

In faith, we accepted God’s acceptance of us – through Christ – when we were unacceptable, and so we love God by freely offering the same gift – His acceptance – to others.

To love God and to be to others what He is to us …

We must be willing to be for others -- God’s life is a life for others. He always is and does what is best for others. He has a non-selective love for all others. To love God is to have -- in faith -- a non-selective readiness to be for others … all others … any specific other God sends your way.

We must see others as God sees them -- True love, God’s love, is not blind. It sees what those living for themselves do not see. We set aside our judgments in order to “see what eyes have not seen and ears cannot hear” (I Cor. 2:9) so we can help those in need.

A New Found Love

I was lost, but now am found.
Grace was given, as I looked toward Heaven.
Lord Jesus Christ, God's Greatest Sacrifice.
As I looked to the Cross, tears fill my eyes.

The Lord challenged me as I prayed on Sunday:
God gave His One and only Son for us,
why is it that we give our love to the world instead?

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

Day 2 of Power Encounter

As I reflected upon Sunday's encounter, I prayed that I would continue to be sensitive to the Lord and that the busyness in my daily life will not distract me.

On Monday, I took up Our Daily Bread and the devotion was on loving others. The passage for the day was from 1 John 4 and the passage was on verse 7 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

This verse has all along been on my heart but it never really stood out to me and nothing was special about it until the evening. When I was reading another devotion from Word for Today. The devotion also spoke on 1 John 4:7 although the devotion differed slightly.

I know in me that God is saying something to me since what are the odds that 2 devotions pointed out the same verse. Am still seeking Him about this though.

1 very interesting point on this verse repeated to me! This is the exact verse of the Year for me! That's why! God is reminding me again...

Certain issues in the cell was brought to my attention and it breaks my heart. I'm sure it breaks God's heart too. Why can't Man put aside our own agenda for God's agenda? If we can't, then why claim to be followers of Christ?

Stark reminder for myself: To never be a hypocrite and to live out my faith. If I say I love God but have not loved, then I have not loved God at all. May I ever be the fool for God, especially in the most trying times of my life. Lord may I never choose the easy way out and dishonour You. Help me to live that life of obedience and faith despite the temptations all around me. Only in Jesus' Name I have this assurance.

What are words

What are words
If you really don't mean them
When you say them
What are words
If they're only for good times
Then they don't
When it's love
Yeah, you say them out loud
Those words, They never go away
They live on, even when we're gone    ~Chris Medina: What Are Words

Another secular song.
One human to another.
A promise to be there.
Penned down in a song just for the beloved one.

Just reminds me of how much more God loves you and I.
At the same time, I'm reminded of loving others around me as He loves me.
Though I may be far, I still care.
Though I don't say, I still care.

So as long as I live, I live in the faith; in the Spirit.
Lord, humble me and teach me to love as You love.
Friend or Foe, help me and give me the grace to say "Jesus loves you"
For I die to myself once again, that I may live in You.
You and You alone.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  ~ 1 John 4:7

I have sinned

Dear God,

I know this is not about me and the power of transformation comes from You. Yet I cannot come to terms that I should stand by and do nothing.

If I am called to tend to Your sheep, should not I be accountable to You and provide Godly counsel? I believe I may not have employed the ideal method or used the most gentle words, but inside me, all I wanted to is for your children to be aware and mindful. Aware that You are omni-present and mindful that our lives are set to please You with obedience and the choices we make in our lives.

If I am called to tend to Your sheep, then I would count myself a disappointment to You. Lord, I am seriously evaluating my position and I pray that You would speak. I rebuke every self-condemnation and hypocrisy in Jesus' Name and I want to ask of You Lord to show up. Show Yourself so real to me; to Your children, Lord that life is far much more than what we think or see. Lord, to be able to discerning with Your wisdom.

Lord, I lay it all down at the Cross; at Your feet.
I have fallen short and I acknowledge my insufficiency.
Take over and use me I pray.
Here I am Lord.

Amen.

The Greatest of them all...

Love. Agape Love. God.

Sad to read what the world and fellow believers are viewing CHC.

More disappointing are the comments and remarks made by fellow believers.
Their words make me ponder if they truly know God's love.

Reminded me of the passage that Jesus asked the crowd, if any of you has no sin, then let him be the first to throw the stone...

The media had only reported that CHC is assisting CAD and whoever with investigations, which to me does not imply that Pastor Kong and CHC are guilty of anything. I'm unsure of the updates but I'm pretty sure God knows it all, and God will deal with Man as He deems.

Children of God - Before the verdict is officially made, let us remember what Christ has done for you and me. Lay hold of His heart, pray for Pastor Kong and CHC. Sadly if you can't even do that, then pray for God's intervention for the truth to come forth.

Imagine what the world is saying and absorbing when the body of Christ cannot even bear one another in love.

Speculators and those following this issue - Hold your piece and comments because you have no right to give your conclusions until the Governing authority gives its verdict. Don't tell me you have the right because you ain't the judge. If you disagree, does that mean you'll dare to make your own conclusions aloud in a court room? No, because the Law of Singapore will stand.

God, let Your light shine through all these darkness, especially in this generation.

God is Love.

His Kingdom come

Pastor told us,

1. Think Kingdom
2. Serve the King
3. Sacrificial Love

But I feel so weary and tired loving His people...
Unresponsive. Cold. Uninterested.
Enthusiastic. Excited. Optimistic.

It is just a cell of people yet so tough to love.
I wonder how God loves the 6 billion lives in this world (plus many many more)...

I wonder...
