A gift in every experience. Pure blessing.
A new experience, part of a greater experience. In my short time on earth, He is working in me to prepare me for an eternity of fellowship :)
When it comes your time to die,
be not like those whose hearts are filled
with the fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep
and pray for a little more time
to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Push While You Pray
Having just finished Sun Stand Still by Steven Furtick, has been an incredible journey for myself. The essence of his book was really to encourage Christians to take hold of God's promises and vision in their life, regardless of where they are or what they have been doing, and dare to believe while acting upon His faithfulness.
And I'll probably want to remember this quote he shared from Jim Cymbala,
I despaired at the thought that my life might slip by without seeing God show himself mightily on our behalf.
Reaching a point in my life that I probably have to make a "major" decision such as a starting job. Up till now, I always thought I had a grip, or a little understanding, of what it meant by Faith. And this book which I bought from my Down Under trip, surely didn't come at a time of coincidence. I believe God must have allowed this book to minister to me as I ponder some of the most difficult decisions.
Now that it is less than 2 months from me entering a new chapter of my life, I find myself being caught in the middle. On one hand, I really can't wait to enter the next phase yet at the same, I hold onto doubts and questions.
One thing for sure. Sun Stand Still has helped to with a motto.
Seize the Vision. Activate the Faith. Make the Move.
It has also given me a fresh perspective of Hope and Faith. How closely assimilated these two traits are, yet so vastly different in their nature. One can choose to stand firm on HOPE yet another finds himself choosing to move by FAITH. The very fact that characters from the Bible have lived out by that principle is likely a lesson God would want His people to comprehend. To know that beyond the Promise and Progress, there is a Process which His people undergoes.
As for myself, I do look forward to that Process.
The first job.
The next relationship.
The Calling in Life.
For sure and for real it may be tough, it may require endurance. But I have a Hope. A Hope given by the Most High. A Promise to those who seek after Him with all their hearts, to live out His Purpose, will find themselves living by it.
I may have little to offer, but God is more concerned about how much I am willing to offer out of the little.
Pray. Pray for a participation in His miracles and not just a speculation. Pray for fresh revelations constantly and as with any intimate relationship, in deeper love. Pray for a renewal of mind and strength as I face each new day's challenges. Pray for not just a changed life, but a channel for life-changing as well. Pray not for my desires alone, but through seeking His portion for me that I find my satisfaction.

A Hope and A Future
Importance of living with a focus meant the difference between living aimlessly and living with a goal in mind.
In this season for the past few weeks, much has been taught about Focused Living, about Mentoring, about Dedication. Herein boils down to the key question, have I been living these lessons in my life?
Thing is, no one really likes boundaries. The Adam in us has fallen short and death entered the world through sin, that came to all men. We have this urge in us to go against the very instructions set out to protect us which brings about the saying "Rules are meant to be broken". How untrue!
Surely we would have had that moment in our lives hoping to be carefree and the freedom to do what we want.
That getaway we longed for. That partner we prayed for. That job we sought after.
I think there is nothing wrong with these things we long for, but I guess boundaries are a must to safeguard ourselves. Be it the environment we are in either the office or otherwise; The amount of time we dedicate to the various appointments and roles we hold, we easily become victims of living without boundaries if we don't seriously consider what we live for.
Boundaries in life, determined by one's values and beliefs, points out a systematic overall direction to one's life.
If King David, a Man after God's own heart could fall, how much more susceptible are the rest of us? This is more than a story in the bible, it became a life lesson for me; a gem in life's lessons to remind me to live with boundaries set out by the very focus or purpose I uphold in my life.
In every experience gained through the lives of others or a personal encounter, let us treasure these in our hearts.
Abraham and his miracle son, Isaac.
Moses and his years in the palace and in the desert place.
Noah and his ark-building years despite the ridicule.
So many are the characters in the Bible whom we can learn from their life experiences,
I see them as God's sharing with me, coaching me in handling life matters.
And the very model of life example is given to us in His Word, Jesus Christ Himself who lived for a focus, for a purpose. He knew very well the boundaries in His life.
The One who is Life and gave Life ought to be what my Life is all about.
Keep coming back to my Focus, that I may not lead a wasted life chasing after the things of this world.

King David's moment of unfocused living led to his sexual temptation of Bathsheba, eventually resulting in him slipping into greater sin of murder to satisfy his own pleasure. - 2 Sam 11

Jesus at the center of it all
Pastor Yoy had a stopover yesterday. Definitely anointed voice and man of God.
1 take away from Him: In all things, let Jesus be the center.
Amen.
